He's a guy with no clear signs of leadership skills who took on the job as the country was about to plunge into a recession - he must have seen it coming, if I were him I'd have let Blair do a few more years and take over when the UK is climbing out the other side of this downturn.
As for the question, stooge is the answer, worst prime minister in recent history.
How often do you see him on the news? When you do are you interested in what he's got to say? Even though everyone seemed to hate Blair I was always interested to listen to him on the news, and he seemed to get quite a bit of air time. Brown is nowhere to be seen.
