London's only interactive story centre for children, Discover is a magical indoor and outdoor space where children up to 8 and their carers create stories together through play. Discover was recently rated as one of the top kids' days out in London by Time Out.

Hi Mandy,

Thanks for posting this. I was not aware of such a place and it sounds ideal for a day out with my toddler.Hopefully I will take her out there soon.Any idea what kind of activities dot hey have for a 2 year old, the website does not detail much on things that can be done there.

Just thought that I would respond to your post. Discover is a story centre for children aged (0-11) and their families. When you get to Discover you can go on the Story Trail, an indoor magical space where you can dress up, make a spoon puppet, put on a puppet show, go in a secret cave and cross an amazing sparkly river. Amongst many other things - its a great way to fuel the imagination. Discover has Story Builders who help to facilitate so if you need a hand with using any of the exhibits they are on hand.

Discover always hosts an exhibition programme. At the moment the exhibition reflects winter festivals from around the world. Within the exhibition there is an opportunity to play with shadow puppets, visit a mirrored well, dress up, visit the darkest place in the universe (very popular) - just a taste of some of the things you can do there.

Every weekend and during the school holidays Discover runs an events programme which can include art and craft, music, story telling and drama.

Discover is open everyday (except Mondays during term time)and 24 - 27 December 08 and 1 January 09 10am - 5pm. And costs £4.00 per person, £14.00 for family of 4, £3.50 concessions, UNDER 2's FREE.
