Is anyone planning on going to the new Westfields shopping centre in Shepherds Bush?

Its not that far from me but i'm not 'good' with huge crowds so going on the first day is a no no for me.

Does anyone know how much parking will cost there?

I heard Boris & Leona Lewis were there & i had an email from Next saying Dannii Minogue was opening their store too.

u mean the westfield in white city or wateva?

westfield is an aussie mall builder - the one in white city or wat not is the biggest one ever made and the one for the olympics will be even bigger and better and have like 1200 houses and townhouses and apartments too.

the mayor is opening it and everything also. theres like 50 something places to eat n over 250 shops - though the high end section with like louis vuitton n stuff wont be open for a while cause they arent ready

I did say Shepherds bush which is basically the same as White city :)

Thanks for all that info but i was hoping for info from people who have been there or who will be going shortly.

Will leave it a few weeks before going.

The traffic round that way was terrible when i went past there on Tuesday, hope its not a sign of things to come. There were lorries & delivery vans everywhere.

U forget dear daisy i am not a londoner so i didn't no if sheperds bush was white city - even though i assumed.

yeh haha bit of an info overload but i read an article on it just this morning n it was fresh in my head.

i think it will die down like the over crowding of traffic after all the shops have been established and all the sticky beaks nosey on off somewhere else

I might go there in a few weeks just to see what it's like. I think the traffic around that area is going to be a joke, it was bad enough driving through Shepherd's Bush before this was finished, I dread to think what it'll get like now. They were talking about the lack of parking spaces on London tonight, could cause problems for local residents when people spill onto the neighbouring streets looking for a space.

Did London really need this place?

:confused2:

mayb they did - but we're in a massive financial crisis atm so we'll see how that turns out for them and their 1.6 billion STG investment
