Welcome to London!

How about joining some classes related to your interests - a great way to meet and get to know people. Or find a meet up group you're interested in at the link below, there's loads to choose from so there's probably something there you'll enjoy.

Yeah this is very hard, I had a similar situation when I moved back from Canada, most people I knew had moved off, or my friends from Uni lived up North.

Work helps the most, I met most people through there. It took a while to get to know people but thats where you get into more social situations etc. Its a hard city to do it in, people often dont want to get to know others!

Good luck though!

yeah i know... london is quite a lonely place when you dont know many people...i just need a kick up the bum in the right direction. I do go out with people in work on work nights out but other than that everyone is so scattered it is a bit difficult just to hang out or do things that dont need alot of arranging...

it's just frustrating where there is so much going on around me but no one to go with...

Thanks for your reply.... i appreciate it :)

Hi! When I arrived I was like you and I tried a website where they organise events: http://london.citysocialising.com/. The first one is for free so it's worth a try to meet new people in the same situation as you.
Good luck!

Sounds like a friendly offer. Although I need to reiterate our forum safety rules here I think...

Please don't meet up with people you've met on ours or any other forums guys.

The pace in London is really fast and you may find that you are losing new fiends quicker than making them.

But there so many things out there you can do either alone or with company, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Take time to explore and get to know London and you will never want to leave.

Simply a unique and wonderful city.
