The new 'girl power' fist

Lately I've noticed quite a lot of women walking around with their fists pointing forwards. Having recently spotted Mrs Beckham making the 'fist salute', I'm assuming it's a 'girl power' thing.

So in solidarity I've started making the fist back at them.

For some reason they all scowl at me. Is it because it just looks stupid if I don't have a handbag?

Never noticed before

Talking of Mrs Beckham what do people think of her hair?

Better in that picture above or her new cropped hair do?

My husband thinks she looks rough with her short hair.... i'm not a fan of it myself either.

I do like Victoria though.

I'm not a fan of the lollipop ladies in any way. You know what I mean, stick thin women whose heads look too big on their child-like bodies.

Give me a bit of curve anyday!

Its nice to hear that men don't all fancy stick thin women.
Theres being slim & fit but i think she's taken it too far.
I don't know how she has the energy to walk as she surely can't be eating too many calories a day.

It's a stupid situation where 99/100 men will tell you they can't bear the stick women, yet 99/100 women want to lose weight, and the majority think that Keira Knightly, Victoria Beckham et al are a sensible body shape to aim for.

Here's an idea. How about they carry the bag properly, using their hands?

I have to admit i tend to think, why would anyone look at me when i'm not a size 8 like my mum & sister. Clearly it doesn't bother my husband that i'm a little larger than they are but it still kinda plays on my mind though.
Why would you want me (size 12/14) when there are skinny size 8s out there.

Im not bothered about men having bodies like David Beckham.
I do think its easier for men though, not so much pressure on them.

Theres too much air brushing on models & celebs in magazines.
You look at them & think, my god don't they have beautiful skin & a great bum.... when actually its been air brushed to perfection.

There's a disconnect in womens minds isnt there. You all KNOW these photos are airbrushed, but still think the stars really look like that, so try to be like them and of course fail because no-one really does, which makes you miserable!

Its so sad

Check out this from the sun yesterday. Click on image 2 for what she really looks like.

back to the handbag thing its just convenience to carry it on your arm sometimes as you need both hands free.
