Any ideas on good christmas music..

Hi,

Does anybody like christmas music this time of year? I'm looking for something that's not the usual sleighbell pop or supermarket muzak. (Slade and Wham are a bit tired, choirs are a bit, well churchy, etc....) There's got to be something out there that isn't overtly commercial pop, cheezy or religious.. I hope. Any ideas?

I agree, it's all a bit limited. There's quite a few jazz cds with a xmas theme, but some are quite old, and others verge on that shopping mall sound which you're trying to stay clear of..I found this a few days ago which might be of interest: http://www.jazzchristmas.co.uk. The music is quite mellow, jazzy, with some really original instrumentals of xmas carols. Definitely one to get mellow with after a few sherries by the log fire..
