I´m considering moving to London from Sheffield to study at Goldsmiths University in New Cross, i was looking for a bit of advice as my financial situation is not great and its putting me off making the move thinking i might not be able to afford the cost of living in London. What would be a realistic mouthly amount that i would need to live there? I will more than likely be getting a student grant to pay for my accommodation, so i will have to work to pay for everything else. How easy is it to get a job in this area? I´ve got lots of Bar work, Customer service and Administration experience so i will be looking for any job within these areas.
Any opinions on Goldsmiths University, the area or the best areas to live that are near the university?
I would love to be able to move to London so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Goldsmiths is a great Uni. Damon Albarn studied there.

If you enjoy your music why not try a rock and roll map of London. Pinpoints loads of locations. The map is under £5 on the net. www.blowupproductions.net

Enjoy
