I just want to have a general rant about Bad Hairdressers!!!!

If you've had a really bad haircut like me and if its been at the same salon please feel free to rant with me.

To cut a really long story short, i did a lot of research before settling for a salon called [REMOVED](s.w.9) And despite booking with the 'Top Stylist' [REMOVED](himself),he managed to hack off my beautiful shoulder length hair in 4 big chops like a man on drugs, without following pictures that he had been shown. He did a dry cut that lasted less than 6 minutes and consisted of him just cutting off all of my lovely hair. It has been a terrible experience and i have no faith in Hairdressers anymore.I now have the added exspence of paying for extensions, when i went into this salon with my lovely hair, and came out with none.
He has ruined my New Year 2009 and he really shouldn't call himself the Top Stylist.

Hmm I dunno if this post is the opposite to spam... instead of promoting a specific company, they bad mouth one...

If the story is true then you should have done soemthing about it at the time. He couldnt glue your hair back on, but is a service you've paid for and not received.

Hi Shay L,

Welcome to All In London

I'm afraid I've had to remove the name of the business from your post as it's against our terms and conditions. Sorry to hear about your situation though.

All the best,

good point.
Also if you are unhappy you should refuse to pay at the time, its not always easy if you are upset but you should use the emotion to make your point.

I have a hairdresser that I have stayed with for 14 years, she knows my hair keeps uptodate with changes and ideas and I trust her. I have used others while she was on maternity leave but never found anyone who took the time and effort and did a good job. Perhaps a smaller salon like mine build up a relationship with one of the staff. Its not always the top rated staff that are the best. Ask friends and girls at work and good luck....

Hey guys, thanks for all your comments.

I've definitely calmed down now, I'm still angry but it's only hair and it will grow back.
The most annoying thing is that i spent months researching and looking for a good hair salon, before picking the one i went too, just so i wouldn't have to go through this.
So a lot of thought and consideration went into it,and on top of that i requested the Top Stylist.
Is it just too much to ask for someone to cut with caution and consideration for what the customer requires?!

And what Hairdressers really need to realise is that one bad experience can put you off for life,as i maintain i will never step foot in another salon
again.
