80s themed costume

im off to a fancy dress party in a couple of weeks and its 80's themed... i have no idea what to wear!!!!!

any suggestions

go in anything baggy then tease up your hair, wear purple make up and layered clothes! a leather jacket would also help

there are a few different 80's looks you could go for - the Madonna look is easy - lace gloves, footless tights, a short tutu skirt and a vest with a contrasting bra underneath. you can get sll that from Camden - you can probably get the plastic bracelets too.

As am alternative you could go for the New romatic look - think Adam and the Ants etc. Harsher makeup, very precise. tight jeans, a frilly shirt and a waitcoat with pointy boots.

You could also do 80's officewear - I bet not too many people will do that. you can pick up cheap 80's vintage clothes from eBay - these officewear rarely sells well - think shiny fabrics, gold buttons, big shoulderpads and high heels with BIG hair.
