Hello,
Well as you know club trends will change all the time along with crowds, a month ago Saturday at Cafe de Paris was full of tourists and teens on their first night out now its becoming one of London's returning elite clubs.
It is for that reason I can't be very precise without going into writing an essay at the moment however what I can do is give you the benefit of my experiences over the last month.
Aura
Shockingly strict door policy making a return here resulting in a great well dressed turnout. Music is good and venue has a great atmosphere.
Pangaea
Well...it's Ok, the club does almost feel like its time is passing however its chugging along well. If you're attending on the weekend get a table or suffer the wrath of tripping over them and realising you're not having the greatest time with nowhere to sit.
Soho Lounge
Great new arrival on the scene, the venue has been well styled and the crowd is right.
Chinawhite
This club legend seems to go on forever. The crowd is still great, the door is still strict and the celebs keep on coming. Although the grade of celebrity has slightly lowered, its sad really because you can begin to feel China's reaching middle age in club terms. But on the other hand, almost any night (once you're in) guarantees a great time thanks to a music policy of only the best dance floor tunes, yes they we're playing out Tom Novy, Bob Sinclair and tunes like Dr Pressure before they hit the radio.
Bar Rumba
Very much back to the roots clubbing, serious beat freaks in this place with a good music policy and a relaxed dress code. However the place may tend to vary with promoters. Get in touch with the club to see whats good.
Camouflage
“..and his cup runneth over.” This club has turned around over the last few months in an amazing way, its something you have to see. Some seriously good funky house to be heard with a long list of special events and VIP celeb hosts going on over the weekend.
Kingly Club
Unfortunately not in my good books anymore, the last visit felt a bit bland. This could be attributed to a recent struggle to sign up more new members and even promoters as the club begins to slip in the West End rankings.
Well that’s it for now, but I should have more for you after this weekend. I have a need to update on these places and its been a while since I did a VIP crawl.
Take Care
