From Friday 1st December, Batch in Peckham promises to help you escape the mundanity of merriment by bringing the lesser-known and altogether scarier stories of Christmas to life, transporting you to a Pagan midwinter.
Alongside a menu of your favourite classic cocktails, a solid wine list (including some wine on tap) and beer from Peckham’s Brick Brewery, drinks – designed by the award winning bartenders behind Twist London – will be inspired by some of the most terrifying Christmas Monsters.
Using a selection of small batch and handcrafted spirits from Maverick Drinks, including St George Terroir Gin, NYDC Ragtime Rye, FEW Bourbon and Bathtub Sloe, the menu will reimagine creatures such as Grÿla, who comes down every year from the mountains to make a children stew, or Krampus, Father Christmas’s lesser-known sidekick, who’s responsible for dishing out the punishment for the naughty kids.
