You can still have a good time...

The highlights at this Egyptian restaurant are the grilled kebabs. Try the charcoal-grilled quail for something a little more unusual than the standard lamb and chicken. Opened in 1979, you can take your own booze or stick to their freshly squeezed carrot juice and mint tea.

A tiny little restaurant tucked away in a residential area which I'd gone past many times and barely given a glance to, until a friend who lives nearby took me there. We had a delicious meal. I loved the tasty, smoky moutabal, and the mixed kebab had that lovely chargrilled taste that one looks for. For those like me who are familiar with the Edgware Road which is packed with Middle Eastern restaurants, it is worth making the extra journey to visit to this one away from the herd.

This restaurant is excellent a real find. I went with an egyptian friend and the food was totally delicious, out of this world. Authentic Egyptian food of the best quality. I would urge any food lovers to give this wonderful restaurant a try, you will not be disappointed. I doubt if there is better food outside Egypt, unless it is home cooked. There is a lovely family atmosphere, which makes it feel as if you are eating in someone's home. Very good value.

What a Find! This little place is all about the food. Egyptian food at its very best. Vine leaves to die for, delicate, savory lemony Fuul, Falafel that reveal a soft vibrant green centre , not a murky olive drab stodge. Koshri! real honest to god comfort-koshri.. nothing dissapointed.

Our party of four stuffed ourselves silly, with a wide selection of starters, a splendid main apiece, and even squeezed in some desert, for £51 total!

The atmosphere/decor is not your standard london restaurant, but is spot on for a Cairo Cafe. Cheap, Cheerful and appropriately noisy at times.

Delighted to have found it, I will be back
