Lavash is a high class Iranian restaurant. Some food are excellent but not all. you need to know what order. Avoid stews as they ate not up to the Iranian stews. The kebabs are your best bet. They all are excellent.
For starters, either go for Kashkeh bademjoon (one portion is enough for two as its very filling amd heavy) or the Herbies which is absolutely delicious and light. If you order checken kebabs, go for the one with bones. You wont regret it. Do not forget the mixed Persisn ice cream as desert. You have never tadted anything like this before!
Excellent service.

We visited Lavash on a saturday night, pre-booked for a large group. We had 10 adults and as many children. It seemed the staff were keen to take our orders and get the food out....and then us! The waiter was extremely rude. Not only did he shove menus rather forcibly in front of us, whilst we were in mid conversation, he made us order rather than converse with our guests! This is a family restaurant, yet the children were CONSTANTLY told off by the staff for talking! Eventually we had to leave. As for the food, very average for an Iranian restaurant - I have been to many in London and this comes near the bottom of my list. The chicken and lamb kebabs were dry and overcooked. Over priced as well.

Will definitely NOT be visiting Lavash again.

Diabolical ... the staff forgot our starteres & then blamed the till.

Bearing in mind the long wait for our main course, the restaurant did nothing to try and get us to revisit,

A restaurant to be avoided.

A nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. Food is very good and the service friendly. If you like iranian food, this is a good place to eat it. If you've never tried iranian food, you're missing out!

Iranian food is actually quite simple so its easy to be fooled into thinking that anyone can prepare it; but as with all such food (not least English favourites like roast beef & yorkshire pud) it is in fact quite difficult to do really well - but when done well, is sublime. Lavash understands this. The food is really top notch. I took my very fussy (Iranian) mother there just before Christmas & she was to my surprise & delight, also very impressed. I can't give them a 10 because they forgot our side dishes (which they remedied within 1 min of a reminder) and because I think the garnish on the side of main dishes is unnecessary and can give the dishes a bit of a down-market appearance. But this is nit-picking: Overall, well worth a visit...
