My husband and I had a late lite dinner earlier tonight – at Loco Mexicano near Victoria. We lived nearby in the past and know this restaurant - looks different now, food was ok. But OMG - the margaritas! Surely there was no tequila at all but the acidity (to hide the lack of alcohol) was so bad - it must be actually dangerous for anyone's gastroenterological health. We informed the server and also the girl who saw us out - I don't think they cared. What do they put in this thing?!?! It was upsetting because it was St. Patrick’s and my husband is Irish. We work for our money too, and this was a total disrespect to the customer. The margaritas were THAT bad. No customer deserves this poor treatment.

I've been there once (oct 13) but will certainly go again. Very nice food. The beef was very tasty and tender, the rice was light and the salad was fresh. It all seemed to be made from good ingredients. The food was served promptly in a friendly manner and the prices are good. A good selection of deserts too. I am looking forward to the next visit.

I was in London last weekend for my sisters 50th birthday and she wanted Mexican food. We were staying in Victoria so this restaurant was nearby. I was concerned about booking it because of the reviews I had read but I was very pleasantly surprised! We were a party of 8 ladies from age 36 to 81 and we all enjoyed the food, cocktails and atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very fresh and tasty and it was surprisingly inexpensive! This is the first time I have ever reviewed a restaurant online and wanted to do so as my experience was very positive - contrary to some I had read. I would recommend this restaurant for good food, good value and great atmosphere.

My boyfriend and me just found the restaurant by accident last night and were really excited to taste some nice Mexican food. Unfortunately it’s been the most disappointing dinner we have had in a long time. The restaurant is small and easy, the table cloth has nothing to do with Mexico and it rather reminds me on an old school canteen back in the days. We were "greeted" by the waiter who obviously wasn’t in the mood for work that day. We were directed to a table and I was sitting on the broken bench, really uncomfortable. A moment later another waiter came to ask if we were ready to order. Showing such a disrespectful attitude, I couldn’t help myself to give her some indirect piece of my mind. She went back to the bar and spoke to her colleague in their own language.. Polish is suppose. As I am working long time in the customer service industry myself, that’s just nasty and unacceptable. Anyway, we orderd the food which came in less than 8 minutes... really fresh, right! I had to kind of grab it myself over the table as the waiter was not bothered to come around to serve us on our table. Maybe we choose the wrong items but my boyfriend being a born Mexican was far away of being impressed by the food. The presentation was buffet style and the taste... well; I rather keep it for my self. When it finally came to an end, the well motivated waiter from the beginning brought me the bill. With absolutely no eye contact she kind of flung the PDQ machine towards my direction.
At the end I couldn’t help myself and used the rest rooms. Absolutely disgusting! Dirty, toilet paper everywhere, toilet seat off and the bowl looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time.
Everyone who wants to experience Mexican food with a Latin flair, DO NOT ENTER LOCO MEXICANO!! The money I have spent their could have easily flushed down a toilet... horrible service and lousy food

For a decent and pretty cheap dinner in Victoria this place is ok- The margaritas were good and the food, quick, fresh and tasty.. the decor of the place is really silly, but its clean and kindof fun.. the waiting staff really let this place down though, they seem disorganised, glum and pretty lazy to be honest.. we were greeted by a grumpy looking dude in a silly hat with folded arms who grunted ‘just sit anywhere’ despite the fact that one of our party was already sitting on the table we had reserved..

The place wasn’t that busy and there were plenty of staff to go around but when 3 of our party had been seated for about 10 minutes with no further contact we waved the waitress over (politely) and I ordered a drink.. she took the order but completely ignored the other two (also drink-less) people before walking off! I wouldn’t go there again, putting silly hats on your miserable staff just brings their bad attitudes out, and it’s the punters that get the brunt of it!

This is possibly the best Mexican in London - though a little loud and sometimes crowded, the traditional food and wide range of cocktails are not only delicious but quite reasonably priced too. The atmosphere is great and lively. I'd encourage anyone to slap on a sombrero, neck a flavoured tequila shot and order a sizzling plate of fajitas! For a guaranteed spot it might be worth booking in advance (earlier that day is fine).

This is one of the finest mexican restaurants I have ever visited. The service is first class and the food out of this world. My only criticism is that the music can sometimes be rather loud. Pay it a visit you won't be disappointed.

'Loco Mexicana' makes you feel like you have stepped into mexico and is fairly similar to the 'Cafe Sol' tex-mex restaurant in Greenwich. It can be quite a lively place depending on the people who go there. The only downside is that it's quite a small venue. The meals come in large portions and accompanied by a curious assortment of drinks.

In a word, TERRIBLE! Worst service in London, I have given this place 4 chances (I know my own fault should of quit after 2) each time they have messed up our orders. Staff are rude and unhelpful (more so than normal in london!). Terrible atmosphere they turn this ridiculous music up so loud that you can not even speak with the person next to you :{. Food is average at best, horrible experience will not make the mistake of going here again.
