If you're looking for a night of funky afro beats delightfully mixed with fresh and spicy African dishes, then head to Wazobia Old Kent Road on a Friday evening. Fresh Funky and Fun..... definitely worth a visit! Vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty dishes and cold drinks! Can't ask for much more, apart from perhaps slightly larger space, and maybe an improvement in the toilet facilities.

We waited for nearly an hour get even drinks. people came in after us got served before us. we eventually left without our meal . I suggest they get extra staff on busy days like valentines day. #it kike it caught them by surprise, very bad service.

The food was good..(as is the food in most African cuisine restaurant) but the huge failure...again as with ALL African Cuisine restaurant is the snail pace service!
The slow pace of service is excruciating especially for those who hate waiting for food...by the time the food arrives..I'd lost my appetite and if I hadn't been in a party I'd have been long gone!!
I know they do not take comments on speed seriously as that is the one complaint that is consistent in all their feedback...perhaps they are slowly making their way to complaints.
No dish is worth a 2 hour wait!!

I was at this restaurant last week with work colleagues to mark a retirement party for a friend. Lovely atmosphere and décor but the service left much to be desired. My friend ordered tea which didn't make an appearance. Food took too long to arrive (over 2 hours). And very expensive for the service offered but it tasted divine. Could do with massive improvement but the staff were super polite.

Recently visited for a birthday the service was incredibly slow I was in so much shock! There was not one high chair please be aware if you're going with young children! Prices were extortionate for the service offered. In saying that the food tasted superb (although my starter came at the same time as the main 2 hours later) I'm assuming there's only 1 chef/cook if they improved on timing I think this place has amazing potential! Poor guy didn't even know if he was going left or right but he was very helpful in doing what he could! Overall there is major room for improvements.

A bottle of brandy for £70? West end prices on old Kent road? Coffee and tea is listed on the menu, yet not served. Food is not cheap, pleasant decor..for the area. But i would get better for less in the West End!

My husband went to 805(restaurant) to pick up some pepper soup, unfortunately or rather fortunately they were having technical difficulties. Turning away he noticed that there was another restaurant(wazobia)close by so he decided to give it shot?
To my amazement, the pepper soup was out of this world, the portion size was generous and tasted absolutely amazing!
I have now discovered a new place where I can eat good food when I don't feel like cooking at home.

Nice place, good atmosphere, the food takes slightly too long to come.
The staff are all polite, the only let down, ...belive it or not...is the owner himself. He and his friends will take up valuable space, playing scrabble and ignore the fact that customer prefer to sit in the space he is using with his friends.

I will recommend the place for the very good Nkwobi... 10/10, please avoid the £13 white wine that is £1.50 in the shops....all said and done a nice restaurant kept in my good books by the good food and polite and friendly staff.
