Come along and marvel at the music of the cosmos in Star Song, together with the completely otherworldly experience of the London Bulgarian Choir.
• A first for Europe
An evening of cosmic music for tenor, choir and orchestra, composed and conducted by Bradley Ellingboe, and performed by Jason Vest, tenor, the Albuquerque Festival Singers and the Mixolydian London Ensemble.
The performance marks the first time this unique and thrilling piece will be heard outside of the USA, where it had its acclaimed debut at the Lincoln Centre in New York.
As Ellingboe says: "I have long contemplated the idea that we are all made of the same stuff and that everything vibrates: music, light, atoms, even ourselves. If our ears were only tuned a little differently, we could perhaps hear the music of the stars!"
• Two choirs for the price of one!
The event will see two choirs on stage, as Star Song is supported by a spine-tingling set from the award-winning London Bulgarian Choir. Expect electrifying vocals and quirky chords as the choir performs from its repertoire of Bulgarian folk songs, in traditional and contemporary arrangements.
