My bf and I consider ourselves foodies and LOVE good, homely Italian food and have visited many Italian restaurants in the city and locally. I am compelled to review Mamma Mia because it is simply THE BEST! Firstly, the staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. It is a family run business and has a lovely atmosphere (we visited on a saturday). The food, is absolutely to dieeee for! My bf had the casanove steak and i the marinanra as well as starters and desserts and it was just all cooked beautifully!
Brilliant food and service and I can't wait to return!

Very disappointed with the customer service after reading other reviews. We were offered a drink. They only have 1 beer on offer. We both had main courses. I had roast chicken from the daily specials and my bf had sirloin steak. He had asked for it to be well done but sadly it wasnt. And no steak knife was offered either. No one came near us until after we had finished. Then they refused to take northern irish money ( which is sterling) and can be used in england scotland & wales but apparently not in Mamma mia! Food was ok but their customer service has let them down badly on this occasion!

We went to Mamma Mia's on the recommendation of my son & his girlfriend. Four of us all had starters, Main course and deserts. The food was delicious and the service was also friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a genuine Italian restaurant (not a phoney). Was also very surprised that the bill for a 'full blow out' came to about £60 a couple (very reasonable indeed for Italian). Will definitely eat there again and give them a 10 star rating.

This is my favorite place to eat in Chingford and I am here at least twice a week, the food is truly amazing and the staff are only too friendly and eager to please (plus Manu the manager is a hot Italian!).
On busy nights they put out candles, and on hot nights despite having aircon on they open the entire front of the restaurant and put tables on the decking in the front garden.
Inside you can see right through into the kitchen too so you know it's clean! They do everything from Italian pizza and pasta to prime fillet steaks, ribs, veal, a wide variety of fish dishes, salads, platters and thick house made cheese cake. I come here for both romantic dates and get togethers with friends because the atmosphere is comfortable enough for romance but laid back enough to welcome large groups (and even sing and give you a free slice of cake if you book a birthday there!).
I really cannot recommend this place enough.
