Dinner for 2 01.07.23. Ordered 1/2 bottle champagne which came in a large ice bucket designed for 2 bottles. Only 2 ice bucket stands available for whole restaurant so it covered most of our already 'cosy' table. Ordered red wine of a certain vintage. Different year was offered and when questioned, waitress replied it's all the same regardless of the year!. Requested different wine and different waitress brought this; again different year but accepted it. When she placed the bottle on the table to open it no more than a few inches from my partner's face, I politely asked her to open it 'off' the table to avoid any accidents. She replied that she had been doing this for more than one year but finally yielded after a second request to move. Potato dauphinoise was undercooked and the serving of spinach and caramelised onions derisory. The creme brulee was served with one sour strawberry, and the tarte tatin was misshapen and undercooked - a doughy splodge. The gents was out of order and in the ladies, the toilet seat was broken. On a busy Saturday night there was no manager present. No apology was offered at any time - clearly the unsupervised waiting staff know better than the diners who pay. Restaurant deserves to fail. Awful experience.

Went there a few years ago, then more recently, and both times thought the place was delightful. A great little gem tucked away. A bit far from me who lives in Kingston upon Thames, but a real treat when I manage to get to it.

Beautiful little restaurant in great location, food mouthwateringly delicious, service and waiters efficient and friendly and not too expensive. I will definetly be going back.
