The Crobar is London's no nonsense, Rock 'n' Roll Bourbon and beer bar. Their jukebox has everything - Guitar from John Lee Hooker and the Stones all the way to Clutch & Down. If you like Rock, getting wasted and having a good time, visit the Crobar. Happy Hour is from 5pm-9pm every night, with Jack Daniels and mixer Thursdays, only 2 pounds from 9pm-3am and entry on Friday and Saturday nights is just 3 pounds after 11pm, free before hand.

All In London Review

Crobar

Pop quiz. Where do metal band Slayer drink when they come to London? Does that even need an answer? It’s the Crobar of course, that delightful dive in the heart of Soho.

To say they keep it simple at Crobar is a bit of an understatement. It’s beers, metal and that’s about it. But, it works because if you’re with like-minded people who appreciate the sounds of Pantera et al accompanied by cold beer then you’re in business.

There might not be much to the Crobar but it can always rely on its atmosphere. Busy on weekends and sporadically throughout the week, you can always be sure of a crowd free of pretentions. And you can’t say that for a lot of bars in London.

However, if you’re not a fan of metal then this one isn’t for you. The music is relentless, loud and therefore – if you do happen to be a fan of the genre – pretty awesome.

It’s a narrow shell of a bar where at the entrance you’ll pass the bar before heading into the seating/’dancing’ area at the back. Cosy? No. Intimate? Not quite. Claustrophobic? Perhaps, but in a good way.

So, once again. No food, pedestrian beers but pure metal.

The boss has been on your back all week about your TPS report and you know it's not possible for Q3 let alone Q2, you need to unwind, you need to mosh

The Crobar is the ubiquitous London metal pub. Ask Slayer where they drink when they come to town and they’ll scream CROBAR in your face. Fact. It’s a dive of a pub, the beer is standard, the music is heavy and it’s always a fun time.

Choose wisely...

You might expect to find a selection that sticks to metal in the jukebox at Soho metal bar Crobar. And while the majority of musical choices might lean that way there is a whole lot more to find here. Easily one of the best musical machines in one of the least pretentious bars in Soho.
