This is the best Indian in Surrey, I often go to Southall and this is better than Brilliant and Madhus. It IS slow but it's worth the wait as everything is cooked fresh. My friends come from Islington just for the chicken shashlik!

Taste of Gujarat - hands down best curry in Richmond, and maybe even London!

The service is always friendly.

The food is GREAT. I have lived in London for 15 years and, while there are many good curry houses, there are none that as delicious.

The price is reasonable and the portions generous. As a rule of thumb I would recommend 1 fewer dish than attendees.

They deserve all the business they can get! Highly recommended!

A group of 6 of us went on a Saturday night, having been before and previously enjoyed. The food is great, no doubt about it, but at the expense of 'wishy-washy' waitresses and incredibly slow service.

The waitresses can lose the ability to speak or understand English incredibly quickly at the first sign of anything approaching dissatisfaction and gave being busy as a reason for the hour delay in the meal arriving.

You're a restaurant; your dream in life is to be busy!

The lack of any acknowledgement of our problem or apology for it (and the service charge remaining on the bill) suggests they really don't value customers.

For that reason I won't be going again (I had plans to take curry loving clients there as I have before) and I couldn't recommend the restaurant
