there is simply no better place anywhere in the UK to source screws and other fastenings, especially those hard to obtain from other outlets, the price premium is modest, the expertise and experience available second to none.

I have never been let down by this shop I go into the shop a few times a month for nuts, bolts and machine bolts for a variety of old bikes, models and they have always supplied what I want and more often than not suggest a better way of arranging the fixing than I was thinking. To copy many other posts this shop is a GEM.

I have been a customer for over 20 years, at first at the Acton branch, now closed. You always have what I need and with excellent help and advice. You are a treasure in the heart of London, long may you run! Thank you x

I love this shop and I love going to this shop. I've been using them fairly regularly for a few years now. Their stock is matchless, their prices are great (and none of this 'packs of 10 only' business) and they've saved my ass on projects on more than one occasion, digging out an obscure fixing on the spot when even the interwebs can't get it at all or at best not for a few days. One of London's great businesses if you ask me, long may they reign.

I needed a m8 x 100mm socket bolt for my Citroen van which even the main agents couldn't supply unless I wanted to buy the whole kit for £83 + VAT. I got 4 bolts for £3.00 at this place. Not only could they supply abolt no one else could they even offered me it in stainless or black. Highly recommended place.

After reading the reviews I was very excited to visit this morning. Granted they have a good stock and were able to source what I needed, BUT... I arrived, was not greeted (just stared at) by a miserable old man who clearly got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. My experience was made to feel very uncomfortable and I felt like I was asking for the moon everytime I asked for something new.
Needless to say it will never be my hardware store of choice - just for rudeness.
Response from Arid Khan Manager
The old man is 86 years old and has worked here for 56 years serving customers. Old Tom is a mine of experience, his is the best advice you can get on screws and fasteners in London.
Perhaps when he served you our old Tom was not feeling well. But you admit he got you the parts that you could not find elsewhere, and at an excellent price.
You object to be stared at - are you a male Prima Donna?. Have some respect for age young chap! when somebody stares at you especially an old man - it maybe because they are old and often feel unwell.
Be grateful he is still trying to do his best for customers. Perhaps you are a Moaning Minny who expects a 'Yes Sir' or 'No Sir, Very good Sir' from somebody older than your grand dad and who fought in the war, all because you are a customer for a couple of screws costing 30p.

Well always thought that this was something out of punter net - Until I used them, the screws are fantastic Joking aside, this shop is a gem if you are doing any DIY work. This is the place to go for any threaded fixings. The Prices are cheaper than B & Q and Screwfix and as far as screws are concerned they have a much wider range. I agree with the rest of the post this shop is a gem.

I went in with a bolt and said "can I have a nut for this". The assistant looked at it and said,
" 3/8th's Whitworth...
...there you go!

Just like that, at a glance. I screwed it on and went away content. They are threaded fixing specialists, like no-one else I know.
Thanks
