Friendly salon, perfect haircut
Housed in a charming white-fronted shop on Charlotte’s Place, Redhed is what you would call a boutique salon – there are just three stylists, which means more time can be spent with each customer.
As my hair hasn’t been coloured in about four years it’s in fairly good condition, something I’d like to keep up, however a change wouldn’t go amiss. Sarah recommends subtle caramel highlights underneath the hair, which lifts it a little around the face and as she says, accentuates cheekbones, plus there’ll be no problems with regrowth. To finish she blow dries and adds loose curls, giving a very natural look overall and one I’m very pleased with. Not only that, but as the girls are all very friendly (and a glass of wine is offered as part of the service) I’ve actually had a good time, remarkable for someone who approaches a haircut with such trepidation.
“You look slimmer” says the boyfriend, surely the words every woman wants to hear. It’s also a perfect haircut for my lazy ways, as the layers fall into place after washing without the need for styling. I’ve already got an appointment booked for two months’ time…

I live in Cornwall...but Redhed is the only hairdresser I go to!! thats quite a distance to travel for a decent mop chop! best colourist I have ever had...and I have been to quite a few! Atmosphere in the salon is really great.

Best colourists in London and they don't do bad cuts either! Sarah saved my totally mucked up greenish-gold hair colour and returned it to its former golden blonde highlights and corrected the cut too. Can't recommend the salon too highly and it is so centrally located as well. Thank you so much Redhead.

A friend recommended Redhed to me after a colour disaster somewhere else now I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair!
The staff are all lovely, I feel pampered every time and the complimentary wine's a nice bonus.
