Virgin Sport Festival of Fitness

The Virgin Sport Festival of Fitness will see 30,000 people take to the streets of Hackney for one of the UK’s largest celebrations of fitness.

16,000 runners will sport the streets in the 13.1 mile Hackney Half Marathon, presented by ASICS, whilst thousands more participate in the free fitness classes and soak up the festival atmosphere on the iconic Hackney Marshes.

The Hackney Half, presented by ASICS, brings the vibrancy and flare of East London to the flat and fast paced streets of Hackney with a route that takes runners past Hackney Downs, Hackney Empire, Broadway Market, Victoria Park, and the London Stadium. It’s a Half Marathon like no other, with a buzzing route including bands and DJs at every mile, roaring crowds, and community spirit at every turn to carry participants to the finish line.

Once the hard work is done, there’s time to chill, refuel, and celebrate with friends and family back at the Festival of Fitness on the Hackney Marshes. There will be live entertainment, music, activities and chill-out zones; and a Festival Village with local food and drink offering everything from mouth-watering vegan delights to dirty burgers, green juices and craft beer!

For those looking to work up a sweat instead of running, or even after running, there will be a great line-up of free fitness classes with some of the best trainers and instructors to inspire the crowds of all ages and abilities to move and sweat!
