Whilst we are surrounded by patterns we can see with the naked eye, this exhibition provides an introduction to the surprising and beautiful world of microscopic patterns that can only be revealed by powerful tools and technologies. 'Deconstructing patterns' is a collaboration between scientists at the Francis Crick Institute and artists in the field of sculpture, film and spoken word. The exhibition features a new commission by visual artist Helen Pynor; a soundscape installation created by poet Sarah Howe & sound artist Chu-Li Shewring; and a short film made by young filmmakers as part of Holborn Community Association’s 1A Arts Project.
