Curious Directive: Frogman

Queensland, 1995.Meera is eleven. It's her first sleepover. Strawberry dunkaroos, SEGA Megadrive, and band practice descends into stories in sleeping bags by torchlight, swapping coral fragments and theorising about the universe.

Lights off. In the corner, the aquarium is beginning to glow.

Outside in the coral reef, the Frogman dives by moonlight into depths looking for traces of a missing girl as blue police lights reflect across the water. With the annual coral bloom due, time is running out.
