After a hugely successful two day festival in Hoxton in November, the London Cheese Project is back for the May summer Bank Holiday with an expanded line up of cheesemakers, mongers and street food, talks, tastings and cutting edge booze matches.

Unlike trend chasers, this festival is curated by cheese people on a mission to showcase the country’s true artisans.

Along with the opportunity to meet and buy directly from the most exciting names in artisan cheese, The London Cheese Project also offers one-off, limited edition cheeses, made especially for the festival as part of collaborations between cheesemakers and mongers.

Some of London’s favourite street food traders, who are committed to using artisan cheese, will also be joining the line-up this year, with Mother Flipper and Butchies serving one-off cheesy takes on their usual menus.

Underpinning the event is a commitment to improve understanding and appreciation of real cheese, as well as broader issues within the food industry. The London Cheese Project provides attendees with the opportunity to connect with, and learn from, the very people producing their food.

Throughout the weekend there will be a full programme of free talks, tastings and demos on topics such as urban cheesemaking with Gringa Dairy, mozzarella-making with La Latteria and the art of cheddar with Quickes.
