Tandem Collective presents a night of folk music from around the world on The Golden Hinde, in collaboration with Worldwide Welshman.

Worldwide Welshman will be joined by Maya McCourt (cello), Moa Papillion (bansitar, mandolin), Joseph Woods (guitar, whistle), Benjamin Zoll (trombone) and Lauren Spicely (violin), performing original material and folk songs, both as a group and in smaller combinations.

The Golden Hinde used to travel the world, and now we will bring music from around the world onto this historic ship, celebrating diversity, intercultural exchange and the richness of global folk culture, in a sort of peaceful protest against homogenisation and subjugation.

Tandem Collective & Worldwide Welshman are fundraising for Ethno England which is a folk music peer exchange project bringing together musicians from Europe, India, Africa, and elsewhere to share songs and create an international folk ensemble, which, after a performance at Tandem Festival 2018, they will take on tour to N. Wales, Newcastle and Edinburgh. Part of ticket sales will be donated by Worldwide Welshman and the other performers.

So join us below deck on Thursday 19th April to celebrate diversity, music and life.
