‘Words and Pictures’ is an exhibition of paintings and prints which are inspired by landscape and aspects of nature. Sue is exploring abstraction and imaginative reflections on the notion of ‘home’. She often uses works in layers which help create a rambling and dreamlike quality where the viewer is being invited to look beyond the image. In collaboration with the London Writers Eclective, there will be a series of supporting events and workshops in the gallery which will focus on ‘Ekphrastic’ poetry, where participants are invited to write poetry and fiction inspired by Sue’s exhibition.
