The Crooked Billet

The Crooked Billet is a lovely pub! Right next to the common you fell as though you're in the country. It has such a warm atmosphere and the staff are really nice, and so are the roasts! Really worth a visit (and it is not that expensive!)

It is pricey (£11.95 for lamb shank. £10.95 for roast beef)
We waited 45 minutes for a table and was then told they only had roast beef or lamb chops left.
30 minute later we got 3 tiny roast potatoes and 3 slices of fatty, gristley, grey roast beef and no yorkshire
and the vegetables were red and green peppers?
I told the waiter we were unhappy. He was extremely unhelpful and said what did I expect him to do. Cook some more beef?
In the end they agreed to knock £2 off the price of each £10.95 mea. When the bill arrived it hadn't even been ammended.
