Live In The Square

Live In The Square is an inaugural summer spectacular featuring a world-class programme of ballet, immersive theatre and music, which will take place this summer in Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, one of London’s greatest outdoor spaces.

From traditional and contemporary performances by English National Ballet, to an incredible all-female circus spectacle and abstract, immersive Shakespearean production by Mimbre, Live In The Square will give music and theatre fans throughout the capital the chance to enjoy world-class entertainment under the stars in the heart of the West End this summer.

Ballet In The Square will launch the series with performances of the best classical and contemporary work that will showcase English National Ballet’s leading and rising talent from the ENBYouthCo and English National Ballet School.

Theatre In The Square will encompass Mimbre’s The Exploded Circus, which is set to astonish audiences with daredevil acrobatics, aerial feats and masterful juggling, followed by Wondrous Strange - a performance commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s legacy with a raucous romp through his most loved and documented classics.

Live In The Square, in association with legendary Soho jazz institution, Ronnie Scott’s, will complete series with a unique line-up of contemporary and traditional music featuring cult classic acts from Sister Sledge with Craig Charles, to nu-jazz favourites St Germain with Peter Josef, Submotion Orchestra and the Matthew Herbert Brexit Big Band.

Live In The Square follows Grosvenor Square’s annual Summer in the Square programme (2-14 July), which offers free community events across spots, arts and culture, in the stunning, leafy surroundings of the second largest square in London.
