On his journey from Brooklyn to Britain - via Hollywood - Michael Brandon has taken many off-ramps on the way. In this brilliant, funny and engaging show, he tells how he gave himself two years to star in a Hollywood movie. Still there after 50, he lifts the lid on a half-century of showbiz personalities from De Niro to Pacino, Tony Curtis to Kim Novak and his ex-wife, the Bionic Woman!

In the UK, Michael became a heart-throb as one half of the unlikely cop duo Dempsey and Makepeace that was so popular in the 80s, he was nominated for an Olivier as Best Actor in a Musical for the 2003 West End run of Jerry Springer The Opera and has recently starred in Captain America: The First Avenger, Tracey (Ullman) Breaks The News and Episodes.

Michael Brandon - Off Ramps was a hit at the 2017 Edinburgh Festival. With original footage and rare photographs, this freeway - with many off-ramps - is a hilarious evening of eye-widening Hollywood truths!
Directed by Olivier Award Winner (Morecambe) Guy Masterson

If you didn’t know or much care for this Anglophile American at the start, by the end of his charm offensive you sure will.
