What we seek through expectation can often be our limitation.

Arielle Smith is extending her latest contemporary dance work to transport you via a 1940s soundscape into an evening of discovery, honesty and some well-deserved grooving. Set to the music of the great Ella Fitzgerald in a universe unknown we invite you to escape into the weird and wonderful day to day life of eight people. Follow their individual stories, and get lost in their world.

8 performers question whether as an audience we see past gender? Do we primarily see the sex of the person; does this bring a certain expectation and does that then become our limitation? The work seeks to demonstrate love in it’s many forms, pure and true without limitations.

You’ll find us above a quirky pub in the intimate settings of The Rosemary Branch Theatre, where we invite you to join us with a tipple in hand for two nights only.
