London Sustainable Food Fest, hosted by the Small Change, Big Difference campaign is aimed at helping Londoners make a big difference to their health, pockets and the planet by getting savvier with their food. The campaign is all about eating more healthily and sustainably, reducing the food we waste at home and recycling more of the inedible bits.
On Friday 1 June, Small Change, Big Difference will be hosting Sustainable Food Fest at Mercato Metropolitano with award-winning Pan-Indian Chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE, DL. Cyrus will be doing a cooking demonstration where he will use a selection of the top 10 household wasted foods which are:
1. Potatoes
2. Bread
3. Pork/ham/bacon
4. Poultry (chicken/turkey/duck)
5. Carrots
6. Cake
7. Apple
8. Breakfast cereal
9. Lettuce
10. Yoghurt
Angellica Bell will also be attending the event and will be interviewing Chef Cyrus Towdiwala as he does his cooking demonstration. She will be giving out her own top tips to help Londoners reduce food waste, eat healthily and recycle.
