The Deli Comedy Festival is a month-long season of previews of some of the best comedy that will be appearing at this year’s Edinburgh Festival and beyond. Whether it is the latest material from those names we know and love, or discovering the new generation of comics breaking through, this exciting new festival will bring an explosive burst of cutting edge comedy to audiences across London.

Tonight, the Deli Comedy Festival Presents:

Harriet Kemsley: Slutty Joan (Work in Progress)
Harriet’s back with a new show and she’s brushed her hair specially. As Seen in Viceland’s Bobby & Harriet Get Married and Comedy Central’s Roast Battle.

‘A quirky, refreshingly charming comedian at the dawn of her TV career’ The Radio Times

‘You can feel the funny bubbling up inside her and then sort of escaping in a frequently messy, uncoordinated way… And it is joyful’ Kate Copstick, The Scotsman

‘Kemsley is effervescent, her excitement is infectious and not once is there a silence or lull in the laughter’ Edfestmag

Lauren Pattison: Peachy (Work in Progress)
After a smash hit sell out debut Edinburgh show that earned her a Best Newcomer nomination, Lauren Pattison is back with a brand new show.

One of the brightest young talents on the comedy circuit, this baby faced comic has proved herself a force to be reckoned with. Lauren will be presenting a preview of her second full Edinburgh Festival show. Lauren triumphed at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe with her smash hit, sell out, critically acclaimed debut show Lady Muck, which was lauded as one of the strongest debuts the festival has seen in years.

This 5 star show was so popular that ‘Lady Muck’ became the best reviewed show at festival's top comedy venue, The Pleasance. Lauren also won a Herald Angel Award, was nominated for Amused Moose Best Show and was nominated for Best Newcomer 2017 at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Lauren was also runner up at the Funny Women Awards 2014 and in 2016 was the only female comedian to reach the final of the Chortle Student Comedy Awards. In 2016 Lauren also reached the final of the BBC New Comedy Awards which was performed live on BBC Radio
