As seen on Matt Forde’s Unspun (Dave), Ayesha Hazarika, MBE, started her career as a stand-up comedian playing clubs across the country. She then took what she thought was a natural diversion into the Labour Party as a Special Adviser working for Gordon Brown, Harriet Harman and Ed Miliband.

Since leaving front line politics, Ayesha has been busy with touring her hugely successful debut show, State of The Nation, becoming a much sought-after commentator writing for the likes of Guardian, Evening Standard, as well as Grazia and making regular appearances on various TV and radio shows such as Good Morning Britain (ITV), The Andrew Marr Show (BBC1), Newsnight (BBC2) and The Today Programme (BBC Radio4).

Ayesha is now working up a brand new show, ahead of taking it to the Edinburgh Fringe this year.

'Extremely funny... uses her inside knowledge of the Labour machine to deadly effect'
The Guardian

'Relaxed, mischievious and with a mind like a steel trap'
The Scotsman

'Insightful, humorous and at times simply "hide behind the sofa" stuff'
Edinburgh Reporter
