The Deli Comedy Festival is a month-long season of previews of some of the best comedy that will be appearing at this year’s Edinburgh Festival and beyond. Whether it is the latest material from those names we know and love, or discovering the new generation of comics breaking through, this exciting new festival will bring an explosive burst of cutting edge comedy to audiences across London.

Tonight, the Deli Comedy Festival Presents:

Steve Bugeja: Almost Voted at School, Most Likely to be Forgotten (Work in Progress)
The reunion was in February apparently. BBC New Comedy Award winner returns following three critically-acclaimed shows. As seen on Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), Love Island Aftersun (ITV2) and BBC Radio 4's Fresh From The Fringe. 'Big laughs' (Guardian). 'Truly hilarious' (Fest). 'A polished hour of plentiful jokes and compelling storytelling' (Scotsman).

'Puts gags front and centre of a compelling narrative' (Chortle.co.uk)

'An eye for comic detail that's all his own' (Guardian).

'An instinctive genuine comic' (ShortCom.co.uk).

'You'll like this new stand-up, an out and proud nerd' (Independent).

Lou Sanders: Shame Pig (Work in Progress)
Yes, big topics are discussed. Her labia, for one. But also shame, sobriety and unrequested sex. Sanders has met some pigs – and been a mucky little pig herself – and now she’s rolling around in her own filth for your delight. As seen on 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Comic Relief and heard on Radio 4’s The Unbelievable Truth. Lou has written for Mock The Week and Miranda Hart. ‘Destined for hugeness (Time Out).’ ‘Something new is happening in comedy’ (Independent). ‘Genuinely different’ (Scotsman).
