Actor, comedian and singer Peter Sellers died in the former Middlesex Hospital, Fitzrovia, at midnight on 24 July 1980. He has been described as ‘the greatest comic genius this country has produced since Charles Chaplin’. Come and hear some of the pieces that made him such a beloved and respected performer.
This is a free event at 13:00 on Friday 20 July at the Fitzrovia Chapel, Pearson Square, W1T 3BF. The chapel used to be part of the former hospital. We are open every Wednesday, and once a month for our experimental Wireless Contemplation series. Other events throughout the year will feature Sir Winston Churchill, Daphne du Maurier, E.R. Braithwaite and Charles Dickens.
