Chop Leisure is an exhibition of ideas designed on much the same principles as present-day motorway junctions. We were looking for interfaces that honour and engage, for if we don’t do this the story doesn’t move on (NB: decide which narrative thread to follow or God will make the decision for you).

Chop Leisure is an exhibition of genre fiction and storytelling. As you enter the exhibition go immediately to the photo collage to greet the figure standing in front of it. You will feel nothing in the embrace but the wall. You might wonder why you cannot feel with your hands the figures which you can plainly and distinctly see with your eyes. Look at the late afternoon light on the gallery wall. Put your hands on the controls. The swelling and the pain in your leg has completely disappeared! With a new eye and a new finger, place your eye and your finger on the thin, textured walls. You can see how they sometimes keep your body back but let your eye and your finger through because we were lazy and didn’t raise enough money to hire professional playtesters. Run along just inside of the wall and see that these are actually not genre fictions, as they are neither walls with hostile neighbours nor the walls of areas where tycoons live. There is only a roof (a floor) that leaks eternally. There is only an edge and the inside of a hand and a head. There is a machine in there that will remove the top layer of skin from your entire body to test it for traces of chemicals. This is a good place to save. Remember that anything wild you do just after a save point might seem to be having fun and art and creative, but sometimes leads to terrifying discoveries about the fragility of the infrastructure. Watch art objects as they move in unison towards the left or the right, away from the centre, away from the field of view.

God does not have a body. God makes its body out of just any old light and dust materials. The pre-cogs have got to do better. Can you be a human body and look at this? Can you be a Head of Exhibitions and Displays and look at this?

Stuff it in the bag, pal.
