Regent’s Place, the busy work and social hub located between King’s Cross and Regent’s Park, will transform into a giant ideas lab for Thought Fest – a weekend of unique collaborations and interactive experiences in collaboration with London’s Knowledge Quarter; a partnership of organisations within a one-mile radius comprising of King’s Cross, Bloomsbury and Euston.

Running until Saturday 6th October, Thought Fest will unite some of the globe’s most innovative and forward thinking institutions, including Universal Music, Central Saint Martins, The Institute of Physics, the Wellcome Collection and the Crafts Council to capture visitors’ imagination and inspire ideas on sustainability and wellbeing.

Events will include DiscoMAKE, an all making, all dancing extravaganza! Guests will have the opportunity to upcycle and repair secondhand and unsold clothes to make something to wear forever with MA Fashion student Matthew Needham. The event includes an exhibition of new wave designers who are shaping the future of fashion.

A series of ‘Tea and Talk’ events will take place at Thought Fest where experts from a range of fields will meet to discuss the thought provoking issues of today. Festival goers will be invited to join in the conversations which will take place within Seed Pods (pop up egg shaped structures located on the Regent’s Place campus). Experts will include Karen Simmonds, Head of ‘Team Green’ at Universal Music; Thomas Fletcher, founder of juice company Rejuce and Bee Farrell, a cultural food specialist and co-founder of the Anthropologists of Eating.
