A day to journey with flowers, using them as medicine. If you are craving sunshine, we will bring it to you in the form of flowers - working with them in storytelling, art, tea ceremony, vibrational flower essences (with a take home personal blend) and a bespoke ‘mexican’ flower treatment (expect to be showered in petals!).

We will meet the wisdom of this cold season learning from snowdrop, and evergreen trees as well as from summer friends Marigold and St. John's Wort... We will discover what stories they have to tell us about nourishing our deeper hopes, imagination and inspiration, and what shadows we should be conscious of as we move into Spring.

As news of environmental challenges increases, this work with flowers and plants is a chance to do a little something through embodied ecology. By looking at our own "nature" with this transpersonal approach we affirm the choice to nurture our relationship with Nature. We have an opportunity to listen and learn and receive from this web of true and beautiful knowledge.

Please bring with you a bunch of flowers, and a new white candle. (Columbia road flower market is so close but we also encourage you to buy from ethical organic uk flower farms or better still from your garden if you can!)

About the facilitators:
Eleanor Darley (transpersonal art counsellor, the school of botanical arts) and Ellie Little, (ceremonialist, storyteller).

Both of us are continuously in awe of the way flowers, and vibrational plant medicine can have a profound effect on people - to bring awareness to an issue or to balance emotions. It's easily dismissed in this quick moving world but we know the subtleties of this can move mountains, and want to big it up any way we can! This work comes out of our friendship and extensive experience of Mexican, Lakota and European folk medicine traditions, which have guided both of us to share work rooted in ecology and eco-psychology that demonstrates our relationship with the Earth.

About the venue:
The Flowerpot Hoxton is a bright, beautiful loft space located in Haggerston/Hoxton in London. It is decorated like a winter garden with hanging plants, living walls and flower beds. It's perfect.
