Travelling from deserted motorways to city streets, via daytime TV and message boards, PORTENTS follows those people looking for meaning in the chaos. Those whose understanding of the world is completely altered by what they’ve seen.

Rising above a soundtrack of static and stutters, spanning from pop stars to apostles, why this sky present a story of conspiracy, isolation and religious rebirth.

Before and after each Portents show there will be a series of short performances exploring science fiction, the internet and pop culture. Each night will include a short 15 minute ‘opening act’ – ranging from steam-punk drag kings to Waluigi laments – and finish with a short gig by an exciting musician or group.
