Join us for part one of Experiments in standard time, two evenings of performances at the gallery as part of Anneke Kampman’s current exhibition, Labour’s Own Sounding Ideal.

MIKE BROOKS AND CARLOS PERREA-MILLA
Musicians Mike Brooks and Carlos Perrea-Milla will explore the liberatory potential of standardised sound – the uninvited meanings that emerge from repetition, format and familiarity.

LISA BUSBY
A solo set with fragments, fringes and collisions of song and noise, artefacts of pop and fan culture, and entanglements with covers, playback, samples and loops.

WINDOWS: ‘OMNI’ ALBUM LAUNCH
Berlin-based musician and artist WINDOWS will launch his new album Omni in the gallery space.

Released through artist-led record label and publishers Oh, Omni combines sparse piano improvisations with field recordings and incidental sounds.

This limited edition 8 track digital album is presented in the form of a 2GB USB key which can be worn around the neck—a reflection of the restless quality of the sound and production on the album.
The album is accompanied by a limited edition wood block print by WINDOWS produced for the launch, and each track is illustrated with a drawing by Bue Bredsdorff.

Oh are currently Pump House Gallery’s bookshop residents. Read more about the residency programme on our website.
