ARGH KID
"Where The Streets meet William Shakespeare"
ARGH KiD is an English alternative hip hop band from Manchester, England, led by the MC/Poet David Scott. With an eclectic approach to hip hop featuring live musicians to provide a backdrop to life in austerity UK, with all it flaws and lingering beauty. His first two singles “Frank” and “Neighbours” were met with critical acclaim and support from industry big hitters such as Chris Evans, Janice Long, John Kennedy to name but a few. Their live shows are a high-octane concoction of breakbeats, outstanding musicianship and a powerful and passionated lyrical outpouring rarely seen on stage these days.

ARGH KiD’s work has been broadcast across the globe through his collaborations with Manchester United Football Club, UEFA, New Era Sportswear… to name but a few. He was Kendal Calling Poet Laureate in 2017.

In addition to his stage performances and studio work he runs Spoken Word Workshops for Young people across the country, creating social awareness campaigns, confidence building and adds a bit of light relief from the stresses of their exams. BBC Breakfast ran a Short Film covering his work to the country as part of National Poetry Day.
