Join us for an evening with renowned British light artist, Chris Levine, in conversation with Royal Academy Artistic Director, Tim Marlow. The creative duo will discuss Levine’s multidisciplinary career to date as well as forthcoming projects underway for 2019.

Levine’s pioneering work explores light as both a core aspect of art, and of human experience more widely. He is best known for producing one of the most iconic portraits of the 21st Century, Lightness of Being, an emotive portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. With light and stillness at its core, this stunning portrait is a wonderfully fresh depiction of one of the most famous women in the world. An edition of the artist’s most celebrated image will be on display in store as part of Fortnum’s X Chris Levine.

Refreshments will be served and there will be a Q&A opportunity with Chris Levine and Tim Marlow following the discussion.

Arrivals from 6pm (talk to start prompt at 6.45pm).

Fortnum’s X Chris Levine will be on display from Saturday 30 April until Sunday 2 June.
