The May Fair is set to bring traditional May Day entertainment to Grosvenor Square this May Bank Holiday weekend, with Maypole dancing, music, entertainment for all the family.

The free two-day fun event will bring nostalgic delights of the much-loved Great British seaside Bank Holiday experience, featuring a host of pier-side funfair entertainment, such as a helter-skelter, carousel and coconut shy, all just for a donation to Royal National Lifeboat Institution, to promenade refreshment favourites including fish and chips, ice-cream and candyfloss.

A host of free interactive children’s arts and crafts sessions, including postcard-colouring and a series of fun educational environmental workshops will take place in the belly of an enormous whale. Bold mini-explorers will be invited to squeeze into the belly of an enormous inflatable Sperm Whale where they will find themselves in the depths of the bubbling, kelp-swirling ocean. Visitors will encounter an aquabatic diver who’ll lead them swimmingly through the age old journey of the life of an ancient Leatherback Turtle.

With the use of exquisite puppets, comedy and music, Circo Rum Ba Ba explore the tale of sea creatures and their battle to survive in an ocean full of rubbish. The audience will be invited to help to save the turtle and the whale from a deluge of plastic and travel from the Indian Ocean to a coral reef, leaving feeling empowered that everyone can make a difference.

Whether you wish to explore the depths of the ocean in a giant Sperm Whale, hop on a swingboat, capture a seaside family portrait in the fun photo boards or simply enjoy an ice-lolly from the comfort of a giant deckchair – you’ll find it all in the heart of Mayfair, this May Bank Holiday Weekend!
