Fred Ingrams: The Edge of Landscape

Fred Ingrams: The Edge of Landscape features an exciting new series of work by acclaimed contemporary artist Fred Ingrams.

Fred Ingrams was born in 1964. He studied at Camberwell and St. Martins School of Art. For 10 years he was part of the infamous bohemian art set in London. He had a studio the Coach & Horses pub in Soho and exhibited in various central London galleries. He regularly drank at the Colony Room along with other artists including Damien Hirst and Francis Bacon, the latter bought one of Fred’s paintings. Fred also worked as a graphic designer and art director on many magazines including: Sunday Times, The Field, Tatler, Vogue and House & Garden.

Fred now lives and works in Norfolk and focuses solely on his paintings.

After four recent previous sell-out shows, his latest exhibition Fred Ingrams: The Edge of Landscape, features more than 20 new works, which celebrate the flat, geometric beauty of The Fens - East Anglia’s iconic coastal plains.

The majority of the compositions, painted in acrylic (Fred Ingrams’ preferred medium) are large in scale, varying from 3 to 5 ft and range in price from £2,000- £6,500.

The exhibition is presented by Nick Holmes Fine Art. Fred’s paintings don’t just appeal to people who love the Fens. He has a huge following of international collectors, who are drawn to the originality of the works, the emotions they convey and Fred’s bold use of colour and challenging perspective.”
