The Merchant Square season of free outdoor film screenings continues with the feature film Battle of the Sexes. On Wednesday 26th June 2019 from 5:30PM – 7:30PM you can watch Emma Stone and Steve Carrell portray the 1973 tennis match between women's world champion Billie Jean King and ex-men's-champ and serial hustler Bobby Riggs. At the time the match was billed as the BATTLE OF THE SEXES and became one of the most watched televised sports events of all time, reaching 90 million viewers around the world.
Grab a deckchair, blanket and food from a choice of street food traders and settle in to enjoy the outdoor cinema next to the Grand Union Canal. No booking is necessary but seating is limited.
