Mahou Sundown Sessions

Super-premium beer brand Mahou, pronounced “M-ao”, is bringing the five-star taste of Madrid to the UK with a series of experiential events held in Barrio's Shoreditch site. The events are totally free and 30 minutes long and include:

• The Launch – w/c 17th June – welcoming a DJ from Madrid and freshly-carved Iberian jamon, consumers across the country will enjoy a complimentary Mahou, learn more about the upcoming programme of masterclasses and enjoy a true taste of Madrid.

• Five Star Madrid – w/c 24th June – an informal guide to ‘Five Star Madrid’ the Mahou Maestro will lead guests on an insider’s journey through the city, providing tips on all authentic hidden gems and how to take those amazing Instagram photos of the secret backstreets and incredible rooftop sunsets.

• Fusion Tapas – w/c 1st July – an invitation to try your hand at creating tapas dishes, as this week’s masterclass celebrates tapas culture with Mahou Tapas Maestro, Elia Muñoz Carulla.

• Spanish Music Experience – w/c 8th July – led by Spanish Musician Mahou Maestros, Ayose and Jesus, guests will be taken on a melodic journey through the Madrid music scene and have the opportunity to learn how to play the Spanish-inspired cajon drum.

• Madrid DJ Soundscape – w/c 15th July – with instruction from a European DJ scratch champion, guests will receive an introduction to the Spanish music scene and learn to master the art of scratching on the latest portable turntables.

• Through the eyes of an artist – w/c 22nd July - Mahou Maestro, Baone Knidge, will walk guests through the rich and diverse street art culture in Madrid, as well as helping them to create their own Mahou Masterpiece on canvas.
