Join Andrew Cook, critically acclaimed historian and author of The Great Train Robbery: The Untold Story from the Closed Investigation Files to get under the skin of one of the best-known crimes in British History.
Despite its vast media coverage, many questions remain unanswered about The Great Train Robbery. Was it an inside job? Who was behind it? How did they get away with the crime of the century?
Andrew will attempt to answer these questions to help piece together what really happened before, during and after that fateful night of 8 August 1963 and understand why it became infamously known as ‘the crime of the century’.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A and book signing. Books will be available on the day to purchase.
The Postal Museum’s temporary exhibition The Great Train Robbery: Crime & the Post will be open before and after the event and access is included in the ticket price.
