Into the Blue

The Lebowski Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of recent work by Irene Petrafesa at A&D Gallery, Marylebone.

This is the first occasion for Petrafesa to show in London. Her large canvasses are an evocation of her beloved Puglia, reflecting the broad, sunlit horizons of southern Italy. When talking of her work she refers to the ‘veiled interior of life; the blue of water, the puff of wind, the sea representing the most deeply concealed quintessence of life”.

INTO THE BLUE because these oils draw you deeply into the artist’s vision where the horizon is over the edge, there is no end, all infinity in a sun-swept sea.
